By Reggie Solomon

  • We know urban garden plots can be small and tight. For those of us who love tomatoes, Vanessa Richins at Tomato Casual, tells us about tomatoes’ top arch enemies in the garden when it comes to companion planting.
  • Bill Stanley at Home Gardening Tips shares cylinder gardening basics for people who have small spaces and who want to garden vertically.
  • Cindy Naas, here at Urban Garden Casual shares tips on how to build a water garden. Rees Cowden at Green Side Up offers additional tips on building a cheap and inexpensive water garden feature.

Hey Reggie, thanks for the link to my water gardening post.
I spent a few minutes looking around here at UGCasual and like what I see. The idea that people who live in an urban area can’t enjoy gardening is so wrong. One of my fantasy ideas is opening a graden center in downtown Manhattan…..oh someday.
ps I like the “casual” idea.

    Hey Rees,

You’re very welcome man! So glad you’ve like UGC; though I have to give credit to the fantastic writers and community that makes this place special.

You should TOTALLY open an urban garden store in downtown manhattan! I think it’d be a great success.

p.s. glad you like our “casual” approach 😉
